THE FOOD MAZE ROLLS OFF THE PRESS After a prolonged gestation and what seemed at the time to be a protracted labour, Aspen House has finally given birth to its first book, The Food Maze. As the subtitle suggests, it is an attempt to disentangle truth from fiction in the world of today’s food, and shares with the reader our journey from inveterate supermarket shoppers to enthusiastic supporters of real, locally produced seasonal food.
Despite the fact that there is a huge amount of information out there about what constitutes good food and bad food, we are not being given the full story, and never will be. Thus most people we know remain at least partially confused about food issues. The Food Maze sets out to make it easy for us to join the dots and see the whole picture. In the short time that this book has been available, it has been well received, and it would appear that there is something useful here for everyone.
